13,468 students to appear for HSSC exam beginning today
The HSSC examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will commence on March 2, with 13,468 students, including those in arts, commerce, science and vocational streams registered for the examination.
Stating that the preparations for the examination have been completed, the Goa Board secretary, Mr Bhagirath Shetye told ‘The Navhind Times’ that the HSSC examination will be conducted in 15 centres around Goa. “The practical examination for the HSSC students from science stream has already been conducted,” he added.
Informing that the Goa Board would be using grades as well as marks for the paper corrections of the HSSC examination, as done during the last academic year, Mr Shetye said that the Goa Board will try to announce the result of the examination, tentatively in the second week of May. “This is being done to facilitate the students appearing for various national level entrance examinations, including National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted for centralised admissions to medicine and dentistry courses,” he noted. The HSSC examination will end on March 19. [NT]
