2 die, 1 hurt in Kundaim bikes crash


 Two persons were killed and one was injured in an accident involving a collision between two bikes at Kundaim junction on Wednesday evening.
Police said Ramesh Naik, 44, a resident of Dassolwada-Kundaim in Ponda died on the spot while Sandesh Devidas, 40, a resident of Kundaim died while being shifted to the Goa medical college (GMC) and hospital, Bambolim. They also said that they have shifted the injured person to GMC who is undergoing treatment, but have not been able to identify him.
Police said the three persons were travelling on two bikes at the time of the accident. They were not certain about who was on which motorcycle and who rammed into whom.
When police reached the spot, Naik was found dead on the spot and the bikes were on the road. The two injured were shifted to the GMC, but one died on the way.
Police have taken the bodies of the deceased and preserved them in the mortuary of the GMC for autopsies to be conducted on Thursday.
A case of motor vehicle accident has been registered at the Ponda police station and investigations were in progress until Wednesday night. [TOI]
