Sao Jose de Areal entered the finals of Vodafone inter-village football tournament when they registered a 4-1 victory via the tie-breaker against Sporting Club of Davorlim at Rosary grounds, Navelim on Thursday.
The teams played a goalless draw during the normal period of play.
Both the teams had chances to score in the normal time of play but the goalkeepers of both the teams brought off smart saves.
As the teams were locked goalless, the dead-lock had to be settled through the tie-breaker in which Sao Jose de Areal scored accurately through B Alwyn Viegas, Aggio Antao, Mariano Rebello and Sylvester Carvalho.
Sporting Club of Davorlim could score only through Jose Colaco while Paston Gomes and Rosfon Miranda shot wide.
Sao Jose de Areal will now meet Curtorim Gymkhana in the finals slated for February 17. [NT]
