The Baman Budi waterfall lies in the deep woods of the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary on the borders of Tudol in Canacona and Mangal in Quepem. It is about 14 km away from the National Highway that runs from Canacona to Karwar. One can reach the waterfall through Neturli and Gaodongari. From the forest check post of Bhatpal in Canacona, a road passes through Gaodongari to Neturli via Tudol Mangal.

The waterfall which is known as Baman Budi dhabdhabo. According to locals, the waterfall acquired the name Baman budi after a person belonging to the Saraswat community got drowned when he was taking bath in the waterfall.

The best time to visit the waterfall is from mid-June to mid-September because this is the time when it is in full splendour. It slowly dries up in October as it has no continuous water source apart from the monsoon waters.
