Barath, Ameya, Saiesh excel

 

M Barath of Goa (1787) clinched the top spot in the under-12 category and finished overall 10th in KCA 2nd FIDE International Rating chess tournament, in Kottayam. Barath tallied seven points out of his 10 games and has gained 30 ELO rating points. 
Barath is a student of Sharada Mandir School, Panjim and is being coached by Sivaswamy and Prasana Swamy. 
 
Meanwhile, 13-year-old Ameya Audi (1842) bagged the 14th place with seven points including six wins and two draws. He stood 14th in the mainstream on account of buchholz. 
Ten-year-old Saiesh (1327) bagged the best under 1400 rating prize. Saiesh totaled six points and will obtain 15 ELO points.
