BJP kicks off LS poll campaign from Goa
The BJP has kicked off his election campaign for the Lok Sabha polls in Goa from Margao, with Party national leader Shanawaz Hussain calling upon Goans to dump the Congress by electing BJP candidates from the North and South Goa Parliamentary constituencies.
He was speaking at the BJP protest dharna held in front of the Communidade building, Margao. Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, former MLA Damu Naik, Party general secretary Narendra Sawaikar and party leaders, Rupesh Mahatme, Satyavijai Naik and others attended the meeting.
Coming down heavily on the UPA government for its sins of omission and commission, Hussain said the BJP government in Goa is a role model for other states in the country. “The government in Goa under the leadership of Manohar Parrikar is not only being run efficiently, but the Chief Minister is taking people from all walks of life towards the progress and development of the state”, he said.
While welcoming the hanging of Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab today, Hussain, however, said the BJP will not rest till the terrorists who masterminded the Mumbai terror attack are brought to India.
The BJP Leader accused the Congress for taking shelter in the CBI, saying the congress is aware that it will face no danger as long as the CBI is there. [H]
