Brits robbed of foreign money

A room boy is alleged to have stolen foreign currency from the room of two British tourists inCandolim on Monday evening. According to a complaint lodged by Philip of Marina Beach Resort in Candolim, a room boy allegedly entered the room occupied by two British tourists, JohnTregear and Nicolla Bradbury, when they were out and robbed 340 pounds. The room boy is a minor, sources said. An offence has been registered under Section 381 of the Indian Penal Code.

'Molestor' remanded to 7-day police custody: The 34-year-old man arrested for outraging the modesty of a eight-year-old school girl had been remanded to seven days in police custody. According to the investigating officer, PSI Shailesh Narvekar, "the in-charge of the school was alert enough to notice the stranger and inform the police about him". "During the recess on Tuesday afternoon, the in-charge saw the man standing behind the school window and strangely moving around.
