CCP’s CDP to include beautification of St Inez creek
The restoration of the Mala-Fontainhas Latin quarter, conservation of the city heritage structures, beautification of St Inez creek, implementation of Traffic Decongestion Plan, revamping of parks and gardens, restructuring of pavements, provision of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS), and putting storm water drainage in place, will be some of the aspects to be included in the City Development Plan of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) for the capital city of Panaji.
The city Mayor, Ms Vaidehi Naik confirming the decision said that the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has already finalised the consultants for this holistic plan.
"The Corporation will approach the government for funds required to implement the City development Plan," she added, maintaining that the Traffic Decongestion Plan for city as prepared by the Charles Correa Foundation and in-principal approved by the CCP council will be a part of this City Development Plan.[NT]
