CM inspects Lusofonia venues
Chief minister ManoharParrikar has assured contractors that all their bills will be settled but work on the Lusofonia Games projects should not slow down.
The state government is racing against time to meet the project completion deadline ahead of the Lusofonia Games later this year. Two new projects have been kick-started at Bambolim and at the Goa University without any fanfare and three projects are being refurbished for the big event.
"The issue of payments was discussed in a meeting with the chief minister. A schedule of payments to the contractors is being prepared. The chief minister said work should not be held up for any reason," said a senior official. [TOI]
