The Maina-Curtorim police has booked offense against Guilerme Fernandes of Modsai Macasana under section 509, 341 and 504 of IPC.
Maina-Curtorim police sub-inspector, Mr Pradeep Velip said that Ms Maria Lobo from the same place has lodged a complaint against the alleged person, stating that on Monday night, while her daughter was taking a bath, Guilerme with the help of a torch looked at her. Police further said that on Tuesday morning, while the complainant was going from said area, he stopped her and abused her with filthy language. Police said Guilerme was in a car at that time.
Maina-Curtorim police said that based on the complaint they have registered the offense and further investigations were in progress.
Meanwhile, Ms Roshan Aroskar of Khalapwadi Verla-Canca, Mapusa, has lodged a complaint with the Agasaim police that on November 1, near the Blood Bank of GMC in Bambolim, an unknown girl, aged about 20 to 25 years, impersonating as a government servant, took her near the blood bank and induced her to remove her gold mangalsutra, two gold bangles and earrings, all worth around Rs 1,50,000, and documents such as Ration card, Election card, Aadhaar card of family members and disappeared from the spot along with the items. Poice said that based on the complaint offense of cheating under section 419, 420 of IPC has been registered.
Meanwhile, Shanti Prabhakar Parvatkar, a 57-year-old resident of Undir, Bandora, drowned in the Zuari river. Postmortem was conducted and the body handed over to relatives for final rites.
A team of Maina-Curtorim police, comprising of PSI, Mr Pradeep Velip and Mr Ravi Dessai, on Tuesday visited the residence of the alleged accused, Peter Luis, at Mugali, who had allegedly abused PSI, Mr Pradeep Ramchandra Velip, of Maina-Curotrim police station. Police said that Peter Luis was not found at home.
It may be recalled that PSI, Mr Velip has lodged a complaint that on November 26, at about 3.50 a.m. at Ramnagari Junction in Mugali, the alleged accused Peter Luis of Mugali rider of motorcycle no GA-08 J-4335, and pillion rider, Francis, abused him with filthy language and used criminal force against him (PSI) and other police staff while they were discharging their night duty. Maina-Curtorim police have registered the offense under section 353, 504, read with 34. PSI, Mr R D Desai is investigating. [NT]
