Cong planning for early LS polls: Shripad

The way the political activities are taking place in Delhi, there is a clear sign that  the Congress party is planning for early Lok Sabha polls, said the North Goa MP, Mr  Shripad Naik. “I was in Delhi for the last eight days. Politics has picked momentum and it indicates that the present government is likely to take decision of going for early Lok Sabha polls. Hanging of Kasab and now of Afzal Guru are also related to this politics of generating sympathy from the people,” Mr Naik said. He also said that the government might present a people-friendly budget in order to improve the image that it had lost in the last 2 years and then go for the Lok Sabha election. “It is also to be noted that the assembly elections in some states are also to be held and in order to get sympathy from voters, many positive things they are trying to make,” he added. Many political party leaders were also seen talking of early Lok Sabha polls, said the MP.  Mr Naik further said, “I will contest the election for the  fourth time. People  have faith in me and I will try to produce the best of it.” [NT]
