CRSC, CA Parra win

 

Colmorod Ratvaddo Sports Club [CRSC] Navelim came from behind to hold Ave Maria W and A Club, Benaulim 1-1 in a Salcete Zone GFA under-18 match at Rosary ground, Navelim Monday. There was no score at full time.
CRSC held a slight advantage over their opponents in the opening session but their forwards ran out of ideas after reaching the rival danger zone.
Ave Maria did not lag behind and created umpteen opportunities but failed to convert their chances due to inept shooting.
After the break, Ave Maria shed their lethargic approach in the first half and troubled the rival defence with well orchestrated raids. Their persistent forays paid off in the 73rd minute when Ivo Faleiro put them in front.
Stung by the setback, CRSC regrouped quickly and took the fight to the rival camp and breached the rival defence with sharp raids. Avelon Gomes neutralized the lead in the 87th minute.

Dunes Sports Club defeated ABC Arambol 3-0 in a U-16 football league match (Bardez Zone) at Morjim ground, Sunday.
Myson Brito (10), Harshad Naik (60 and 75) minute scored for Dunes.
At Verem ground, Goa United thrashed Pilerne Sports Club 7-0. Dylan Fernandes (3), Joao D'Souza, Emmanuel Astrides, Izar Khan and Anand Kerkar scored for Goa United.
In the Salcete Zone, Salcete Football Club thumped Tilamola United SC 6-0. John, Leegan, Kingley, Gawas, Joben and Brosely scored a goal each for Salcete FC.
CRSC were awarded three points as Sirvodem SC failed to report.
The under-16 Salcete Zone football match between United Club of Utorda and Salgaocar Sports Club scheduled to be played at CAC Grounds, Cansaulim was called off after only one of the four officials turned up for the match.
The players, officials and fans were a disappointed lot and felt that such lapses speak volumes of the importance or rather neglect that is meted out to the budding footballers. They have asked the GFA to investigate the matter and ensure that such incidents are not repeated. [H]
