The Tivim based company is leveraging digital transformation to drive growth, finds out Team B&C
Tivim based Geno Pharmaceuticals, is using the digital platform to propel business expansion. A true-blue Goan pharmaceutical manufacturer, the company just concluded a digital overhaul to accelerate innovation and automate its core operations.
The digital revamp was through SAP S/4HANA, a next-generation, intelligent enterprise resource planning (ERP) software designed specifically for in-memory computing. Geno zeroed in on SAP S/4HANA as the best ERP platform to drive real business value and support its extensive growth requirements. The software offers real-time visibility and process automation and is said to be the most effective in operations.
In fact, the company’s usage of the software was so effective that it completed the implementation in a record five months as against the estimated six-month deployment period. Further it even got the prestigious SAP ACE award for deriving maximum business benefits out of SAP S/4HANA. Reportedly there are very few enterprises in India which have bagged the SAP ACE award so far. SAP S/4 HANA software offers real-time visibility and process automation. For implementing the software the company partnered with Castaliaz Technologies, a Bangalore based IT company that is known for providing customized services in ERP.
One of the few examples of a home grown success, Geno has a strong marketing presence pan-India with 24 depots and 1298 authorized distributors. The digital drive enabled the company to transform its end to end workflow processes to support its growth objectives.
“In a hyper-competitive world, the early adopters of digital transformation would emerge as the frontrunners in their respective industry segment,’’ said Dilip Salgaocar, chairman and managing director, Geno Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. Generous in giving credit, he said that, the in-depth experience of Castaliaz Technologies in deploying SAP qualified solutions for the pharmaceutical industry enabled the company to realise maximum compliance adherence for modules such as 21 CSR, GMP and neutral X2. “We are confident that our new association with Castaliaz Technologies will help us in augmenting our business presence and create a distinctive niche in the pharmaceutical segment,” added Salgaocar
Thanks to being on the SAP S/4HANA platform, the company management now benefits from real-time data availability of critical business processes including manufacturing, sales, inventory to better plan and execute its business strategies. The period for cycle closing has also reduced drastically empowering the workforce to devote more time on productive tasks which previously exhausted critical man-hours in collating reports and garnering-process related data.
“An enterprise-wide approach to data gathering and analysis is crucial to meet the changing market demands and tap into new revenue opportunities. SAP S/4HANA platform perfectly aligns with our objective of realizing an exceptional growth with data-driven decisions,’’ added Salgaocar.
Meanwhile Ivan Noronha, director, Castaliaz Technologies, said, “Having the right technology to power up digital strategies is fundamental for success in today’s business world. With our association with Geno Pharmaceuticals, we are confident of driving their business expansion with the unprecedented customer experience and precision. We will also ensure round the clock support for the organisation to help them reap maximum benefits from their digital transformation journey.”
