Two held for murder in Taleigao

Two accused- Babulal Sutar, 35, from Rajasthan and Nanu Yadav from Uttar Pradesh (UP)- were arrested by the Panaji police in connection with the murder of Omprakash Nishad, a UP native.
Police said that Nishad was found dead at his rented house at Taleigao on Saturday. They have registered the case as an unnatural death and the body was sent for a postmortem to the Goa Medical College and hospital.
The postmortem report indicated that Nishad died due to suffocation. Nishad's son Santosh, then lodged a complaint against Sutar and Yadav for killing his father. The police later added Section 302 read with 34 of IPC and arrested the accused. PSI Anant Gaonkar investigating the case. [TOI]
