Invitation to Anita Pinto’s Book launch ESPY MAIM

Invitation to Anita Pinto's Book launch ESPY MAIM… "Espi Maim is stuck again!", a book of magical Goan stories for kids written by Speech and Voice Specialist Anita Pinto, was released by a kid, on a cool evening, beside the Mandovi's southern bank, amidst fun and frolic. It was in 2011… And within a year, the book's come in mothertongue Konkani, translated by Isidore Dantas, and published by Dalgado Konknni Akademi and Goa-1556. These exciting stories, peopled with quaint Goan characters and taking the reader on a virtual tour of Goa's popular villages, "bring out the curiosity in little listeners". Equally interesting is the translator, Isidore, the author of "Konknni Cholchitram", a 276-page/large format book on everything one would like to know about Konkani films and transliterated in the Kannada script, "Utorsod" (the first book on Konkani crossword) and "Ozram", a collection of Konkani proverbs. Anita's "Espy Maim Porot Xirkoli", will be released along with Fr Pratap Naik's "Isopacheo Kanneo", a Konkani adaptation of Aesop's fables, and Vincy Quadros' "Jaduchem Pettul". at the Children Park, Campal-Panjim, on November 14, 2012, by Fr Feroz Fernandes, Editor "V Ixtt". Be there to savour another fun-filled evening amidst kids, with Savio Giligili entertaining one and all with his scintillating magic. (Photo Courtesy By Joel D'souza)
