Mickkey asks Parrikar to punish Kamat, recover the ‘mining loot’

Saying that he enjoys cordial relationship with Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco has asked the Chief Minister to punish ex-Chief Minister, Digambar Kamat and recover the loot having presiding over the mining portfolio for 12 long years.

On his stand on the Lok Sabha polls, Mickky said he will take a decision at the right time, saying the Lok Sabha polls are still two years away.

“I have not yet decided on Lok Sabha polls. May be I am also there”, he added.

Interacting with newsmen on the sidelines of the Mahila Shakti Abhiyan’s function at Nuvem on Thursday, Mickky said it is the duty and responsibility of the Chief Minister to take to task all those involved in illegal mining.

“I am supporting mining, but only legal mining.  “Digambar had presided over the mines portfolio for 12 long years. He cannot wash his hands off. The government should initiate action against him”, he demanded.

Replying to a query, Mickky said he might even resign if government does not remove Kamat from Public Accounts Committee.

“My conscience does not permit me to continue in PAC. I will resign from PAC if the government does not act against Digambar”, Mickky warned. [H]
