Navelim’s Rosary College regain cycling title

Rosary College, Navelim successfully regained the cycling title at the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cycling Championships as Chowgule College, Margao claimed runners-up and Government College, Quepem finished third.
Joel Fernandes of Chowgule College, Margao pedalled his way to win the individual gold medal.

Marshall Fredsan of Fr Agnel, Pilar settled for the silver medal and Raju Chalwadi of Rosary, Navelim secured the bronze.
The championship witnessed high drama as the tie-breaker rule came into force. Rosary and Chowgule both finished with 24 points, however the fourth cyclist of Rosary had finished in the 9th place and the fourth
cyclist of Chowgule finished in the 11th spot, which was just enough for Rosary College to regain their title.
Edwin Cortez, Principal of Dhempe College, Miramar was the chief guest and presented trophies and medals to the winners.
