Parrikar: Assembly witnessed noisy scenes with opposition benches rushing to the well of the house demanding CBI probe in drug nexus case. BJP legislators refused to listen to the reply by chief minister on Home Ministry. They told CM - assure CBI probe & than speak . Govt hesitated to commit & the demands of home were passed amidst chaos.

  Mickky: Banaulim MLA Miccky Pacheco has demanded removal of Ravi Naik from the home ministry. Miccky Pacheco was speaking on the demands of Home Ministry. He expressed anger on the functioning of the home departemnt. Miccky alleged that inmates are getting all luxuries in jail.

Agnelo & Narvekar: Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes accused police of rampant corruption in his constituency. He says - police are openly taking hafta in the coastal belt. He also criticized govt for biased investigation in Nadia death case. Whereas, Aldona MLA Dayanand Narvekar said that it is a high time government declares a war on drugs nexus.

Fiona: Fiona Mackweon , mother of Scarlett feels that Roy Naik should be probed in Scarlet murder case. She said she has no evidence, but people told her that he is involved. Scarlet's dead body is still waiting its final rites.

Super: Opposition on thursday came down heavily on health minister Vishwajeet Rane for leasing out Govt land to an israely hospital company at Bambolim. Hospital company Hibut india and state Govt are planing a super speaciality hospital. BJP asked rane why Govt was favouring israeli hospital company instead of local hospital company for this project. Opposition advised Govt to take 26% stake in the company.

Technix: Technix, a teachnical fest is being held at Goa engineering college. Around 200 students from various colleges have participated in this the 3 day event.

Salgaoncar: Salgaocar Sports Club's pre-season training, is in full swing. The Vasco-based club is gearing up for the new season after having finished sixth in the last I-League campaign. Experienced coach, Karim Bencherifa is in charge for his first full season with the former champions. The Moroccan coach is targetting a major trophy in the 2010-2011 season.

Shuttlers: Rupchandra Humraskar and Govind Navelkar excelled at the All-Goa Major Ranking Badminton tournament on Thursday. Rupchandra won two titles in the veterans category while Govind won the mens singles final. The tournament was organized by the Shuttlers Club at Campal.
