Nigerian held with narcotics at Arambol

Panaji: The anti-narcotic cell (ANC) of Goa police arrested a 38-year-old Nigerian national, Chibuzu Ifaniy Chukwu, with narcotics worth Rs 1.60 lakh at Arambol on Thursday.The ANC official said the accused was arrested while he was waiting for a client. Chukwu had in his possession ganja and 30 grams of narcotics, which is suspected to be cocaine, at the time of his arrest, the official said.An offence has been registered under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The accused was produced before JMFC, Pernem, and remanded to five days police custody. [TOI]
