Niraj emerges speed king
Niraj Saripalli (1994) scored eight points from nine rounds to emerge champion in all-Goa rapid chess tournament organized by Ratna Diva Sports and Cultural Association in association with Hoble Parivar under the aegis of Goa Chess Association (GCA) in Vasco, Sunday.
In all, 133 including 23 FIDE rated players participated.
Sanjil Hoble secured the second spot with 7.5 points while M Bharath (1719) also finished with 7.5 points but had to settle for the third spot followed by Rajas Chari, Shane Braganza, Sahil Shetty, Gaurav Madkaikar, Kanthak PM, Gunjal Chopdekar, Swera Braganza.
