Nupas-Cadmatic starts operations in Goa

 

 Nupas-Cadmatic, a global player in 3D ship design software, has started operations in Goa as part of its long-term strategy to consolidate their foothold in Asia.
 
A joint venture of Dutch-based Numeriek and Finland’s Cadmatic, Nupas-Cadmatic has chosen Goa as part of its long-term strategy to benefit from the available local talent pool and the state’s “strategic geographical location” and “good connections in the region”. The group had started its operations in India in Mumbai a few years ago and the Goa office in Panaji is its second centre in the country, which the software maker says will facilitate in its expansion in the region. The group has also simultaneously launched its operations in Singapore.
 
The main purpose of the two new offices is to provide services to its customers in Asia in cooperation with the support team at the head offices in Europe and the main office in Mumbai. The Goa office will provide support and sales assistance with the sales management being done in Mumbai.
 
Speaking about the company’s plans in India, Mr Theodoor de Jonge, managing director of Numeriek Centrum Groningen B V said: “This is part of a strategic development plan that will allow us to further improve the scope and quality of our services to our rapidly growing network of customers in Asia. The new offices will play a key-role in our expansion plans for Asia by strengthening our presence and increasing our market share in the region.”
 
Mr Rajendra Arlekar, the Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, was the special guest at the inauguration of the office and expressed his satisfaction with Nupas-Cadmatic management’s decision to choose Goa as their branch office location and wished the company well in its business endeavours. Also present were Mr Mehryar Delalat, sales manager and coordinator of India and China activities and Mr Prasad Prabhakar Sawant, technical support engineer and coordinator of Goa office, who gave a brief presentation about the company’s operations and future plans.
