Over Rs 7.50 lakh spent on salary, allowances of KA chairman’s staff
The government has spent a total amount of ` 7,53,913 including ` 5,00,530 on the salary and other allowances of personal staff of the chairman of Kala Academy, Mr Vishnu Wagh from March 15, 2012 to January 16, 2013, as per the written reply tabled in the House on Thursday by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Parrikar.
The amount spent under the head of ‘salary and other allowances of personal staff’ has been ` 16,100 per month, from the months of June to September 2012, while it has increased to ` 37,361 for the month of October 2012, ` 23,187 for the month of November 2012, and ` 3,75,582 for the month of December 2012.
The period between March 15, 2012 to January 16, 2013 also witnessed Mr Wagh receiving other allowances namely TA/DA amounting to ` 42,639, fuel charges amounting to ` 1,06,421, telephone charges amounting to ` 33,856 and refreshments amounting to ` 70,467. Incidentally, the government has also incurred an expenditure of ` 90,880 on Mr Wagh, in his capacity as the vice chairman of the Entertainment Society of Goa, from March 15, 2012 till date. [NT]
