Parsekar assures action against lecturer
The Health Minister, Mr Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday evening said that a lecturer, who is involved in the cases of sexual harassment of his students, has no moral right to continue in the service and his service should be terminated.
“The government will take necessary action against the accused,” he added. The Health Minister, who is presently in Chennai, telephonically informed The Navhind Times that he was well aware of the incidents of sexual harassment at the Goa Dental College and had already initiated action against the accused. “The incidents were not made public, since I wanted the action against the accused to reach its logical conclusion,” he added.[NT]
