PIB to hold publicity campaigns for govt
The Press Information Bureau, Goa division, will organise Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign as part of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting plan to increase accessibility of various developmental schemes and flagship programmes of Government of India starting February 23.
The programmes will take off from the villages of Cola in Canacona, Balli and Morpila in Quepem this Saturday and will include sessions by officials of the various departments on schemes offered by the central government through their departments.
“It is a multi-media effort to take the schemes virtually to the doorsteps of the common man. Various governmental agencies involved in the implementation of the schemes have invited resource persons to disseminate the information and interact with the people through question-answer sessions,” Ermelinda Dias the director of the PIB Goa.
The function will be held at Cola on February 23, at Balli on February 24 and at Morpila on February 25.
An infotainment programme by Song & Drama Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting will provide entertainment interspersed with messages about the various schemes. [H]
