Police-drug dealer nexus case: CBI likely to seek Swedish model’s presence
The Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) might summon Ms Lucky Farmhouse, the Swedish model and former girlfriend of drug accused Israeli national, Yaniv Benaim alias Atala, to appear before the premier probe agency of the country to depose in the case related to police-drug dealer nexus, being investigated by it.
A senior official of the agency told The Navhind Times that probe into the case was in an advanced stage and that it could take three to four months more to complete the probe. The senior CBI official also said that the agency might seek presence of the Swedish model and record her statement.
Asked whether Ms Lucky Farmhouse would show her presence in the state given her reservations about security in the past, the CBI official said that there was a different government in the state now and that the Swedish model need not fear about her security.
Meanwhile, sources in CBI said that the Swedish model’s identity needed to be probed so also her statements, if any in the past, to the local media. The official said that her statement and verification of the person allegedly involved in police-drug dealers’ nexus would be vital in finding who was the person visiting Atala at his joint.
"The statement given by her is still somewhat vague and we would like her to clarify on certain vital issues, which we have noted, so as to get conclusive evidence, if any, against persons implicated in the case and take the case to logical conclusion," said the official.
As she has given her statements to the ‘authorities’ in Swedish language, the CBI officials want to know whether she, at any time, communicated with the local media and in what language, the official said. Allegations have been made that Roy, son of a powerful person from the state, had contacts with Atala. [NT]
