Police-public meets in North
CALANGUTE: In view of the ongoing tourist season, the Goa Police will hold a series of Police-Public interactions in the coastal areas of North Goa between December 8 and December 29.
“The purpose of such meetings is to address public grievances and to make people aware about legal issues,” states a press note issued by North Goa SP Vijay Singh.
The first Police-Public meeting was held at the Anjuna-Caisua panchayat hall for residents of Vagator, Dabholkarwada, Bondirwada, Hudowado, Zorwado, Gaonwadi, Chivar, Mazalwado, Moneirowado, Peddem, St.Anthony Praiswado and Arraiswado Nagoa.
On December 14, the police will hold a meeting at the Arambol panchayat hall at 4.30 pm for residents of Girkarwada, Khalchawada, Varchwada, Deulwada, Madlawada, Kepkarwada, Daman-Bhati and Parsekarwada.
On December 15, the police will hold a meeting at the Arpora panchayat hall at 4.30 pm for residents of Maina-Bhatim, Rautawado, Divan-Bhatim, Ghorbhat, Baga-Arpora, Tambudkiwado.
On December 22, the police will hold a meeting at the Calangute panchayat hall at 4.30 pm for residents of Naikawado, Porbowado, Agarwado, Khobrawado, Sauntawado, Baga, Umtawado, Tivaiwado, Maddawado and Gaurawado.
On December 29, the police will hold a meeting at the Candolim panchayat hall at 4.30 pm. [H]
