‘Problems faced by business graduates matter of concern’
Goa University Registrar Dr V Kamat has said the problems faced by the business graduates, post graduates are of great concern for the students, academicians, business world and for parents.
He was speaking at the launch of the partnership between the Chartered Institute of Managements Accountants and Margao-based Vidya Vikas Mandal here on Friday.
“There’s a mismatch between the products and the demand have to be realised. There is a general criticism that the University system of education produces an army of uneducated employed on the one hand and there exists and acute shortage of skilled manpower on the other hand. “The impact of globalisation on the corporate sector has created a demand for business managements with innovative ideas”, he added.
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants has partnered with Vidya Vikas Mandal to provide Goan students opportunities to study international professional qualification for business.
President of Vidya Vikas Mandal Ramnath Kare said the VVM’s collaboration with CIMA will benefit all students and create various career opportunities in the field of finance. He said the free structure for the course will depend on the enrollment of students.
