Public-police interaction meet held at Curchorem

 

DySP Mahesh Gaonkar has requested the public to interact with the beat police teams entrusted to different areas within the jurisdiction of the police station.
DySP Gaonkar was interacting at a public-police interaction programme organised by the Curchorem Police at Sarvodaya Educational Institute hall, Curchorem.
During the programme, the public suggested ways to improve the functioning of police force and helped police identify sensitive zones where police patrolling is required.
Speaking on the occasion, DySP Mahesh Gaonkar explained the functions and duties of beat police personnel who has been entrusted the work ward-wise to look after people problems and help them. He asked the beat personnel to introduce themselves to public and give their mobile phone numbers to them.
He requested the public, particularly the senior citizens, couples and those staying alone in their houses to take contact numbers of their respective beat police and assured them that police will help them even in their personal work.
Speaking further, DySP Gaonkar informed the public the importance of verification of tenant forms and servant’s verification form. “It is mandatory to fill these forms who have kept tenants or servants so that police can verify the credentials of the concerned party,” he added.
The public appreciated the functioning of Curchorem Police, particularly the working of PI Siddhant Shirodakar. They requested the police to intensify police patrolling during night and also gave various suggestions to traffic police.
Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) Chairperson Patricia Fernandes, former CCMC chairperson Jesmina Braganza, councillors, panchas from various neighbouring panchayats and Traffic Cell PI Dalvi was present for the programme. [H]
