Rishab, Swera lift U-13 chess title

Rishab Naik (7) beat Anirudh Bhat in the eighth and final round to clinch the Open Section U-13 title at the all Goa U-13 Chess State Selection tournament while Swera Braganza (5) of Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, Panaji beat Gauri Hadkonkar (4.5) in the sixth and final round to lift the girls U-13 title, Tuesday.

Other open section results: Ritviz Parab (7) beat M Bharat(6) for the second place. Anirudh Bhat (6.5) stood third. Ameya Audi (6) beat Snehil Shetty to finish fourth while M Bharat (6) stood fifth. Girls results: Krystal Fernandes (4.5) lost to Riddhi Zantye(5);Aditee Prabhugaonkar(4.5) beat Urvi Bandekar(3.5);Aishwarya Thorat(4) drew with Alaina Pereira(4).
