Rs 1.70 L stolen from Guirim cooperative society office

 

 Cash of 1.70 lakh was allegedly robbed from a cooperative society office in Guirim on Friday afternoon. by throwing chilli powder into the eyes of the manager.
 
Mapusa police said that Rajesh Karve, who works as an accountant at the Gurim cooperative credit society, complained that while he and the staff were out on their lunch break, an unknown person threw chilli powder into the eyes of the manager who was alone in the office and decamped with cash worth 1.70 lakh from the drawer. The manager was unconscious and was later noticed by the staff, who lodged the police complaint. Further investigations are in progress. [TOI]
