Rs 1.90 robbed from car in Bicholim, one nabbed

 

In an incident of robbery reported at Bicholim, unknown miscreants broke the glass of the rear window of a car, belonging to a contractor from Keri Sattari, and robbed Rs 1.90 lakh, that was kept in the car.
 
The incident happened near the State Bank of India, Bicholim branch.
According to the information provided by the Bicholim police, Mr Igeitulla Carol from Keri Sattari, who is a contractor by profession, had come to Bicholim at about 10.30 a.m. and parked his Swift Dzire car (GA-04 C-0849) near the State Bank of
India.
After parking the car he went to the bazaar to make some purchases. In the car was an amount of Rs 1.90 lakh which he had withdrawn from the bank.
On his return to the car, he noticed that the rear window glass of his car was broken and the cash was missing. He immediately reported the incident to the Bicholim police. He informed the police that he suspected three non-Goans who were eyeing him suspiciously.
The Bicholim PI, Mr Neenad Devulkar, acting swiftly on the complaint and after watching the CCTV footage at the bank area, nabbed a 22-year-old suspect, a native of Uttar Pradesh. The police have registered a theft case and PI, Mr Devulkar is investigating. [NT]
