Sanguem parents for uninterrupted power

Sanguem: The parents of students appearing for the SSC exams at the main Sanguem Centre have urged the conductors and headmasters to approach the Electricity Department to envisage that the frequent power cuts which the taluka is facing is avoided during the period of examination.

The agitated parents informed Herald that frequent power cuts is the order of the day in the Sanguem Taluka and there is no departmental control over this frequent power cuts as most of the times it is claimed to be failure in the direct line which supplies power to the taluka.

However, since the exams during the current year are fixed in the very hot month of the season due to COVID-19 pandemic, the students answering the exams will be left all the more strenuous if there is a power failure during the time of examination because of the heat.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Sanguem Education Society Sandesh Kossambe which runs Union High School, Sanguem and which is the main centre for ongoing SSC exams at Sanguem have claimed of the school having made elaborate arrangement for transportation of the SSC students and to see that they don’t have difficulty in reaching to the school to answer the exams.
