SGPDA market footpath: It’s Margao not Mars!
Mystery shrouds the presence of craters on the footpath of the South Goa Planning and Development Authority’s market complex.
Craters were found in a line at atleast 8-10 places on the footpath, with the black coloured substance in solid form, resembling a glass.
Electricity officials were called to the site, but they could not explain the phenomenon. In fact, the underground cabling officials contended that an underground line does not pass beneath the footpath.
Power officials said the high tension had snapped at around 6.30 pm and was lying on the footpath before the linesmen made their presence felt and restored power supply.
The locals now plan to call the Fire services to explain the phenomenon and the craters found along the footpath. [H]
