Taleigao govt school roof collapses, luckily after work hours
The wooden rafters and roof of government primary school, Camarabhatt, Taleigao collapsed Monday evening. Fortunately no casualties were reported as the incident happened after school hours, at around 5.50 pm.
The fire tenders rushed to the spot and cleared the debris. A few school teachers were summoned for assistance and providing information.
The structure is said to be four decades old. “The roof of the school hall collapsed probably because the structure is some 40 years old,” said a fire fighter. The damaged room had some paintings stuck to the wall. [H]
