Three years later, 2 cops sacked in oral sex case
hree years after the sensational case, wherein a head constable was filmed by his colleague while forcing a prostitute to perform oral sex on him in a police patrol van, both the head constable and the constable driver have been dismissed from service by the Goa Police on Thursday night.
Head constable Santosh Gawas, who was filmed on a cell phone camera while exploiting the sex worker in the police control room vehicle and constable driver Pritesh Naik who filmed the act on his cell phone and circulated it, were dismissed.
IRB constable Sahadev Sawal, who was a witness to the entire act but who failed to stop, has been re-instated with reduction in pay and postponement of his future increments.
All were suspended pending departmental inquiries on December 5, 2009, after the clip went viral.
All three had accosted a woman standing at a roadside on Aguada helipad and Gawas asked her to fulfil his sexual desire failing which he threatened her with arrest. The cops were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. [H]
