Tiatr fraternity hikes ticket fees
Rising prices, high cost of inflation, high cost of living and frequent hike in petrol and diesel prices have forced the Konkani tiatr sector to hike the entrance ticket fees.
After debating the issue threadbare and analysing the financial implications in staging a tiatr in the auditoriums, etc, they have come to a unanimous decision, though reluctantly, to hike the fees from the present Rs 70 to a nominal of Rs 100 in the all the auditoriums in Goa after Easter.
This step in hiking the rates has been necessitated due to the rise in the cost of diesel which is directly affecting the transportation charges, the hall rental charges, the cost of stage settings which is consequential to the increase in cost of labour, cost of the newsprint and ever increasing ticket printing costs, hike in advertisement rates by the publishing house etc, states a press release.
