Tivim will soon to have a masterplan: CM
The Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Parrikar, on Wednesday stated that Tivim would soon have a masterplan which will determine Tivim’s future in the days to come.
Mr Parrikar was speaking after inaugurating the Women’s Multipurpose Co-operative Society of Tivim Vikas Manch at Sirsaim, Tivim.
Mr Parrikar stated said that local MLA, Mr Kiran Khandolkar, was working tirelessly to create employment opportunities through the Tivim Vikas Manch and was also supported by his wife Ms Kavita Khandolkar who is tending to the welfare of women in Tivim constituency.
“Mr Khandolkar is set to develop Tivim by providing it with all necessary requirements. The government will surely back him in whatever way possible,” Mr Parrikar said.
He added that the government on its part was also committed in promoting the welfare of women and therefore launched populist schemes such as Laadli Laxmi, Gruha Adhar, etc for their benefit.
Mr Parrikar stated that Mr Khandolkar has taken a unique step in the co-operative movement and wished him all success. Co-operation Minister Mr Deepak Dhavlikar also spoke on the occasion. Bank chairman, Ms Kavita Khandolkar, in her address spoke about the shareholders and capital strength of the bank and highlighted the society’s objectives. [NT]
