To promote entrepreneurship among students we need to educate parents too: CM

Panaji: If entrepreneurship in our country leverage, it will help us to solve some of the pressing problems of poverty, like education, healthcare and environment said, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurating the 18th International Entrepreneurship Forum Conference at Sanskruti Bhavan, Panaji on Monday, in presence of Prasad Lolayekar Director, Directorate of Higher Education; Prof Jay Mitra, Director of the Venture Academy at Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK; Sergio Arzeni President International Network for SMEs Italy (INSME), Amitava Bhattacharya Founder and Director Banglanatak dot com.

The 3-day conference at Sanskruti Bhavan by International Entrepreneurship Forum is in collaboration with Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, Government College of Arts and commerce, Margao, Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem and Banglanatak dot com.

This is the first time that International Entrepreneurship Forum has organised its conference in India.

Two day preconference was organised by IEF on December 13, 14 where in hundred and eighty six, youth and faculty, of different colleges of Goa had participated. Three-day conference will have parallel sessions, panel sessions on different issues and 18 guests participating from different countries.

“We are keen to take up partner in national and international institution to adapt the best practices in promoting the entrepreneurship as a career and life choice for youth. Goa has evolved as a home of best creative minds and it will be wonderful if we encourage the creative and transforming entrepreneurship in days to come. This will give boost for all the Goan youth for starting their entrepreneurship. The Goan youth can take plunge and make optimal use of this opportunity to create sustainable business. I am confident that budding entrepreneurship will find this global youth take opportunity to interact with world-wide experts and will help them to develop their own strategy of growth, said Chief Minister.
