Uninor subscribers to get free roaming in Mumbai

 

Uninor has Tuesday announced that all its subscribers from Maharashtra and Goa will be able to use their Uninor connections without any roaming charges when travelling to Mumbai. The company has entered into an agreement with Tata DoCoMo to ensure that no roaming charges aer passed on to Uninor subscribers when they use their SIMs in Mumbai. Additionally, Uninor has also announced a further strengthening of its network in Maharashtra with an additional 300 new network sites. “Uninor already has spectrum for the next 20 years available in Maharasthra and Goa and are further investing in our operations here. With free roaming, even subscribers who travel to Mumbai do not need to worry at all about any roaming charges,” said Mr Ritesh Singh, Circle Business Head for Maharashtra and Goa. “Uninor will always remain sabse sasta in Maharashtra and Goa and ensure that tariffs in this circle always remain affordable,” added Mr Ritesh Singh. The company was earlier forced to close down its service in Mumbai in compliance to the Supreme Court order on February 15, directing an immediate network closure. [NT]
