Vardhan bags 2nd U-10 tennis title

Vardhan Karkal emerged victorious, bagging his second U-10 singles tennis title at the boys U-10 state ranking tennis tournament conducted by the MSLTA at the MSLTA Complex, Cooperage in Mumbai.

 

In the finals held on Sunday, Vardhan displayed fine form, hitting some exquisite ground strokes while defeating Leston Vaz from Mumbai 4-2, 4-1.

Earlier, Vardhan trounced Parth Bohite from Mumbai 6-1 in the semi-finals. The winners trophy was presented by former Olympian and anti-doping consultant to the BCCI, Dr Vece Paes in the presence of MSLTA chief coach Mr Manoj Vaidya. [NT]
